We plan to head north from Sydney, spending a few days at Yamba and Hervey Bay before travelling on to Yeppoon to celebrate the birthdays of Tommaso and Fabrizio.
From there we will head west - to Emerald for a few days fossicking, Mount Isa (why not!) then over into the NT. Somewhere near Daly Waters we will hit the dirt and head up to Kununurra.
After a couple of days around the area we plan to stay at El Questro for a while exploring the many gorges in the area. After that we will travel the notorious Gibb River Road across WA to Derby. Then down to Broome.
Our trip then becomes a little hazy. We think we will go to the Pilbara and down through the centre of WA to Kalgoorlie, down a bit more then across the Nullarbor.
In SA we hope to visit both the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulars before getting over into Victoria. We will travel the coast road there, probably to Fish Creek. Then we will head north once again - this time for home.
We figure this will take 8 - 10 weeks, but if it takes a little longer, it takes a little longer.
